We are calling line agencies of the government that tasked to monitor the prices of basic commodities to implement the law against the hoarders. It can’t  be avoided that there are unscrupulous businessmen that will take advantage of the situations now prevailing in the three island provinces (Sulu, Basilan and Tawi Tawi).

Zamboanga City has just declared a lockdown. No incoming vessels and airplanes will be allowed to dock and land in all ports of entry of Zamboanga City. Though goods are not banned the provinces will be hit hard economically. This is what some unscrupulous businessmen will take advantage of, disregarding the situation of the consuming public just to make profits. We are appealing to the concerned authorities to be vigilant and implement the law if violated.
